Jon and I met in the summer of 2000 at one of our favorite Santa Barbara summer events, Night Moves. It is a swimming and running event that takes place every Wednesday night at Leadbetter beach. Our good mutual friends Laura Kranzler and Nancy Clayton introduced us and we have been loving life together ever since.
Jon proposed on April 4th, 2004 (4-4-4) at the top of La Cumbre peak. I was truly surprised. That story could have it’s own website. I love to hear Jon tell the story.
On June 4th, 2005 we were married at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Montecito. We had a traditional spring wedding with all of our friends and family. If I had to do it all over again I would do everything the exact same way. To me it was the most perfect day. Jon and I really soaked in our wedding day and night. It was perfect.
Jon planned the honeymoon and kept the details a secret from me. I knew that we were going to Europe for 5 weeks and I knew that at some point we would stop in Vienna but other than that I had no idea where we were going. The trip was fantastic. We could not have had a more fun.
We have done a lot of traveling since we have been married. We love to get excited about trips and see new places. We enjoy giving travel tip/ advice about the places that we have been to our friends and family too.
We both always knew that we wanted a family. In 2006 we started trying for a baby. This would be the most challenging experience that either of us had ever gone though. Camille Amelie and Jonathan Frederic III (Tripp) were born on Oct 22, 2009. There really is a special kind of love when your babies come into the world. Jon and I could not be more grateful or feel more blessed.
